Location: Salem, VA

Compensation:

• Base Salary:
  • 0-9 years of experience: $32.33/hr
  • 10-19 years of experience: $40.41/hr
  • 20 years of experience: $48.50/hr
• Night Shift Differential: $3.00/hr
• Weekend Day Differential: $3.00/hr
• Weekend Night Differential: $7.00/hr
• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 with a 2-year commitment
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $1,500

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Rotating shifts: Nights, Days, Mixed, Evenings
• Rotating Weekends

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in our busy emergency room. This role involves handling a variety of cases from minor injuries to critically ill patients, with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing based on acuity levels.
• Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate effective care and follow-ups.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with physicians and other departments while ensuring patient safety and focus.

Requirements:

• Education:
  • Diploma or Associate Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
• Licensure:
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA
• Certifications:
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
• Experience:
  • 1 year of ER experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Med-Surg candidates considered for night shifts only
