Registered Nurse - Medical Trauma (Richmond, VA) - $10K Sign-On Bonus

Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse looking to join a dynamic medical trauma team? Join our 466-bed acute care hospital, a recognized leader in cardiovascular care, trauma services, and mental health care in Central Virginia. We are seeking dedicated RNs to deliver exceptional patient care in our 36-bed medical trauma unit.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care: Provide therapeutic care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other medical conditions.
• Telemetry Monitoring: Assess acute changes in patients, monitor heart rhythms, interpret ECGs, note arrhythmias, and intervene in emergencies.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, providers, cardiac specialists, and patient care staff to administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs.
• Documentation: Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems.
• Discharge Planning: Coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team and participate in patient/family education.
• Cultural Awareness: Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers, and other customers.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Multistate Compact License.
• Experience: At least 1 year of recent RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred. Candidates with 6 months of recent acute care RN experience or great experience in a skilled nursing setting (LTAC) will be considered.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Shifts: Full Time - Days (7a-7p) and Nights (7p-7a).
• Salary Range: $31.55/hr - $45.07/hr based on years of experience.
• Sign-On Bonus: $10,000.
• Relocation Assistance: Provided on a case-by-case basis.
