Job Summary:

Assist in leading Packaging Operators and Line Operators to help ensure an efficient production operation within the assigned area/s. Provide leadership to the operators by coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team meets productivity, quality and safety standards, and supporting the Production Supervisor/Manager with the day-to-day oversight and coordination of production activities.

Job Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of Packaging Operators and Line Operators to ensure that all requirements, including all regulations, employee policies, safety policies, work procedures, GMPs and SSOPs are completed properly.

· Support the area Supervisor and/or Production Manager with the reporting and monitoring of any production issues and team member performance or policy violation concerns.

· Assist with the training of operators and the mentoring of new hires to improve retention and compliance with production standards.

· Assist with evaluating Line Operator trainees to ensure that they can perform the duties required to be formally qualified and categorized as Line Operator.

· Coordinate and assist in verifying the weights, ingredients, work orders, film and bags used in the packaging process.

· Observe the machine during production to make sure that the product is being processed through the machine effectively and efficiently and assist the Line Operator with correcting any issues observed.

· Ensure the accurate and timely entry of production information into the Factory System.

· Assist with the production process to ensure that there is minimal waste/loss of product during the production process.

· Notify the Production Manager if there is any indication the product does not meet the production quality or food safety standards.

· Notify the Production Manager of any issues noticed with the production equipment.

· Assisting with equipment and facility maintenance, including overseeing the cleaning of machines, machine components, cleaning floors, sinks, etc., as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
