Job Description

West Texas Spine Institute is an orthopedic practice currently hiring a bilingual CMA/NCT to join the team.

As a member of our medical team, the Certified Medical Assistant and NCT will be responsible for a range of clinical and administrative tasks, including assisting with patient care, maintaining medical records, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients and other healthcare providers.

Full-Time, weekdays. Monday - Friday, no weekends and no on-call.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Assist with patient care by taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the provider during exams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic health records (EHR).
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients.
  • Communicate with patients and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure that all necessary information is collected.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones and managing patient schedules.
  • Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • (NCR) Assist with daily patient X-rays and imaging reports.

  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations that impact clinic operations, including HIPAA.

  • Effectively interact with people and develop positive relationships while being tactful, respectful, and direct in communication. ·
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ·
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other computer programs.
  • Ability to use MS Office programs, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work well in a team and handle a fast-paced work environment

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program (Preferred).
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedics or neurology. Working knowledge of federal and state regulations that impact clinic operations.
  • Non-Certified Radiologic Technologist (Required)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (Required)
  • Personal Injury and orthopedics experience (Preferred)
  • New or recent grads encouraged to apply.
