Inventory Distribution (Blood Processing) Tech Position - 1 PRN position available

The Inventory/Distribution (Blood Processing) Tech Position is responsible for processing donated blood into transfusable components as well as providing delivery services to our hospital clients. Inventory/Distribution techs are responsible for actively participating and remaining competent in all aspects of component preparation, modification, storage, distribution and customer service in strict adherence to the written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), current regulatory, organizational and OSHA standards and requirements.

Due to the extent of training required for the position, initial training is typically close to 40 hours per week for the first few months and scheduled hours will vary for training purposes. Blood Processing generally occurs between 7am - 7pm, Monday-Friday and will also require working some weekends and taking call after hours. Once trained the Full Time position will work 40 hours per week and the PRN position will generally work 20 hours per week to fill in for the department full time staff that are off from working their weekend or for vacation.

Inventory/Distribution tech candidates must be over 21 years of age with valid driver's license and a clean driving record. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

This position will hire in at $13.50/hour and will bump to $14.00/hour once the initial probationary period is completed.

The blood center is located at 3911 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75090. Normal Business Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5:30pm and Saturday 9am-2pm.
