Position Summary:

This is a working supervisor position that assists the Plant Manager in the direction and management of all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, quality, safety and other production-related activities. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct daily production activities and personnel
• Supervise Production members
• Find solution to staffing issues to cover vacations and absences
• Alert Plant Manager to any issues that arise throughout the day
• Train front line members on Morgan’s policies and procedures
• Plant safety; take appropriate actions to maintain safety of members and OSHA compliance
• Work with HR on member recruitment, development, retention, and discipline
• Work with the Plant Manager to identify ways to improve efficiency and quality
• Maintain high quality standards
• Production scheduling to fill service requirements
• Provide weekly update to Plant Manager on status of outstanding issues
• Vary production staffing and hours in line with seasonal and other changes with the load on the plant
• Typical work week of 45-55 hours
• Other duties as assigned

· Ability to manage responsibilities and team members with multiple tasks at the same time

· Understanding of plant processes, machine functions, and operations flow to meet production needs

Education, Training, and Experience:

· Experience in industrial laundry, plant, or operations management

· Computer literacy

· Experience working with a diverse group of individuals

· Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook

Work Environment:

This job operates in both production/plant and office environments. This role routinely uses production and standard office equipment.

Physical Demands:

This is a highly active role. Lifting is required. An ability to lift 65 pounds, climb stairs, bend, stand, and sit for extended periods every day is required.
