Textron Aviation is Hiring a Flight Test Engineer Near Wichita, KS
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Research U.S. and foreign regulatory requirements, develop test procedures, write flight test plans, analyze flight data, and write test reports
- Work with various groups within Product Engineering to develop systems flight test procedures and pass/fail criteria
- Conduct performance, flying qualities and systems flight testing by working with flight crews via telemetry station and on-board during flight tests
- Participate in the development and improvement of flight test processes and tools
- Support development and certification activities as a subject matter expert (SME)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or relative field
- Current ODA UM or FAA DER (flight analyst), and or military experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of flight test experience working on FAA part 23 or 25 projects, including knowledge of aircraft development and certification process/techniques required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills: Proficient with MS Office. Visual Basic is a plus
- Some flight test engineering experience preferred
- Some knowledge of aircraft development and certification processes and techniques preferred
