Teya Enterprises LLC is Hiring a Buyer III Near Ridgecrest, CA

The Buyer III is responsible for developing and managing current and future buying plans for each project area. This position will analyze supervise and direct both current and future buying opportunities leveraging both relationships as well as strategic planning to optimize and reduce spend. This position will also work with the operational team to instill an optimal delivery from the supply chain of resources to minimize on hand inventory serving as the planning conduit between the operations teams and the supply chain team at all facilities. This position will also have direct reporting responsibility for all new project launches helping identify suppliers as well as ensure buyers are staying in line with corporate cost objectives as well as operational timing needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team with Monthly Annual Inventory counts reconciliations, managing the departmental report out and review.
  • Manage and approve all Buyer / Supplier pricing change request giving direction guidance as well acting as the approving authority before submitting to management and customer.
  • Work with / review Purchasing OTC report outs helping the team build corrective actions to ensure KPI’s are met.
  • Meet with management proposing corrective actions on data collection from counts proposing change based on data gathered either from counts and or observations.
  • Able to back fill in either Buyer position and or Project Buyer position covering for planned or unplanned absences.
  • Complete sales purchase orders, including equipment, machines, goods, and services for companies.
  • Find the highest quality goods possible by reading reviews and performing extensive research.
  • Study current inventory levels ensuring both turns as well as safety stock levels are maintained by buying team.
  • Create and maintain monthly KPI on buyer groups with feedback channels to ensure awareness as well as accountability is kept in buying areas.
  • Identify and secure both foreign and domestic vendors & suppliers as needed.
  • Keep abreast of changes affecting both the supply of, and demand for, needed products and materials reviewing observations in written format to manager to help direct departmental goals.
  • Ensure Buying team is considering price, quality, availability, reliability, and technical support when choosing suppliers and merchandise.
  • Help develop implement and maintain a supplier score carding system with the manager.
  • Develop a training method to ensure quarterly learnings are held with the buying group to expand their knowledge of material, supplier options, buying trends. Etc., forward buying techniques and additional methodologies to enhance team’s knowledge.
  • Work with manager to assist in and advise on supply contracts.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma/equivalent.
  • Five years’ buying/purchasing experience.
  • Three year’s government procurement experience.
  • APICS Certification or Institute for Supply Management Certification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Deltek Cost Point Purchasing Program.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR.
