OurSan Diego-basedclient is looking to add aSenior Accountantto their growing team.

Activities and Responsibilities:

• Apply accounting standards and procedures to routine transactions.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of one or more sections, potentially supervising a subordinate section.
• Handle tasks such as processing vendor and contractor invoices, client invoice preparation, equipment rental accounting, back charges, and bank reconciliation.
• Resolve discrepancies on invoices or reports by collaborating with other sections, departments, vendors (contractors), and clients.
• Provide recommendations to the supervisor for cost-effective methods in specific functions. Prepare special reports and complete other projects as directed.
• Accept additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
• Handle accounting functions for small, non-complex projects or sections within the company.

Qualifications:

• A degree in accounting or a related field is required
• Active CPA - preferred but not required
• Minimum of three (3) years of construction accounting experience or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
• Knowledge of general construction accounting, auditing, payroll, and invoicing is required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Schedule: Hybrid

Salary Range:$95k - $105k
