Thalhimer is Hiring a Part-time Assistant Project Manager Near Richmond, VA

Primary Function: Thalhimer Realty Partners seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Development Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the development team in various aspects of the real estate development process, including research, project coordination, documentation, and internal/external communications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real estate development and to contribute to the success of TRP's projects.
Education: Previous experience or internship in real estate or a related field is preferred (1-3 Years)
Qualifications: Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Adobe Acrobat is required. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to properly handle sensitive project and financial information. Understanding of real estate development processes and local regulatory requirements is a plus. Must be willing to work in the office /- 3 days a week for an average of 25-30 hours. Being a notary public is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist TRP principals and development manager in the coordination and management of real estate development projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support project feasibility studies and decision-making processes.
  • Prepare, file, and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the development team.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
  • Draft documents including but not limited to meeting minutes, meeting agendas, project invoicing, spreadsheets/data entry assist with the team's decision making, and high-level overviews on project statuses.
  • Perform other administrative tasks and support as needed including periodic visits to project sites and assets under management (within the Richmond MSA).
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and records.
  • Visit properties in the greater Richmond area from time-to-time to take pictures, hand-deliver documentation, and to transfer permits and checks
