Thaxton & Associates is Hiring a Claims Specialist Near Studio, CA

Industry: Commercial Insurance

Focus: Auto Dealerships in Southern California and across U.S.

Office Staff Size: 5-10

Desired Candidate:

An energetic, helpful and eager-to-learn individual who can provide support/back-up to our Claims Department. Individual would take instruction from President of the company.

California Property and Casualty Agent/Broker Licensed candidates would be ideal. If you do not have this license, you will still be considered for the position, however, you must be willing to pursue and achieve this license within 90 days of employment. License-related expenses such as courses, study materials and exams are covered/reimbursed by the company.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze all claims and litigation involving our clients and develop recommended options and action plan(s).

  • Facilitate the retrieval, investigation and management of internal information, documentation and personnel necessary to meet needs.
  • Report to Management, producers, and senior account analysts the status of cases/assignments.
  • Effectively work with our clients outside counsel to facilitate legal handling of client litigation.
  • Direct and facilitate support staff in the receipt and reporting of all claims. This position is in a claim ownership environment and has some oversight responsibilities with clerical personnel on insurance reporting of potential and actual claims.
  • Work with our carrier partners to achieve best in class claim handling for our clients through advocacy and a service focus.
  • Research, analyze and prepare presentations relating to regulatory, legislative and litigation developments impact clients and/or carriers.
  • Perform legal research upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide legal assistance to corporate projects as requested.

Compensation and Employment Terms:

Position is for a full-time Claims Specialist.

Compensation will be determined by experience and will be discussed during second interview with company president.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
