Job Description
Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing assistance to residents in assisted living with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position reports to the Health and Wellness Director. Essential Functions: •Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. •Follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor. •Provide emotional and social support to residents. •Document daily log of assistance. •Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. •Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. •Respect residents' confidentiality. Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information. •Familiarity with emergency equipment and procedures. •Perform other duties as assigned.
This position also has potential for FT hours
Qualifications
Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Area of Study: General Years of Experience: 1 years of experience preferred Type of Experience: Senior care or related field Special Certifications: May require a CNA or CHHA licensure Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations. Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills Skills and Ability: •Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, employees and outside contacts. •Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Information Systems: n/a Personal Attributes: High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations in a calm and professional manner
