This is a hybrid, 3-month contract position based in Cupertino, CA with a pay rate of $40.00-$43.97 per hour.

Key Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations, especially Categories 3.
• Experience with Deemed Export review and submission of IVLs.
• Experience with both hardware and software product, part, and component classifications.
• Experience with End User Certifications and Nuclear Nonproliferation Statements.
• Familiarity with international regulations is a plus.
• Experience in investigating and researching companies and individuals for sanctions risks.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Prefer 3 years of general export compliance experience.
• Proficiency in Mac and OS X is a must.

Description

The Global Export & Sanctions Compliance (GESC) team ensures compliance with worldwide laws governing the export of technology and products. We create innovative solutions to compliance challenges. As part of the GESC department, you will be responsible for:

• Aligning with the Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), and foreign government agencies.
• Researching and classifying software, hardware, or third-party products.
• Submitting classification requests to relevant government agencies.
• Applying for export licenses for controlled products or technologies and maintaining corporate records.
• Ensuring deemed export compliance, reviewing foreign national candidates, and submitting IVL export license applications to the BIS.
• Developing and executing Export Compliance Awareness training.
• Developing and implementing compliance processes and procedures.
• Participating and contributing to various responsibilities managed by the export compliance department across the company.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in international business, international relations, international trade, law, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $40.00-$43.97per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
