Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our client's legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in contract management and a strong understanding of legal requirements involved with contracts, copyright, and trademark laws. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a 4-month contract role based in NYC, NY with a pay range of $35-$40.83/HR
Duties:
- Assist the supervisor and legal team with administrative duties
- Prepare first drafts of contracts and documents from existing templates
- Review third-party comments on contracts for supervisor signoff
- Prepare documents for signature; save and process them per department protocol
- Track status updates in existing systems (Monday.com, spreadsheets)
- Data entry, file organization, DocuSign
- Provide reporting and updates to the legal team
Skills:
- 4-year college degree
- At least two years of experience as a Paralegal, Contract Administrator, or similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor and good judgment
- Follow up on assignments until completion
- Self-starter who takes initiative and is resourceful
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Interact with outside attorneys and executive management
- Prioritize multiple assignments; work well under pressure
- Work autonomously and collaboratively
- Detail-oriented with the ability to spot errors
- Familiarity with Apple computers, Microsoft suite, DocuSign, Preview/Adobe, Monday.com
- Solid research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Organize own work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up with minimal direction
- Dedicated team player
- Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts
- Familiarity with copyright and trademark laws
- Knowledge of brand licensing and royalty accounting procedures
- Music industry knowledge
- Paralegal certificate is a plus
- Experience with software for consumer product licensing (DRM, MediaBox, etc.)
