The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, geospatial programs, and systems engineering and launch. The General Manger of the Imagery (Geospatial) Programs Division leads an organization of engineers providing systems engineering and technical expertise and critical recommendations to the GEOINT customer to achieve mission success across its mission areas. This includes major system acquisitions for multiple space segments, future architecture definition, and research and technology for the next generation of cutting edge GEOINT systems. The role will draw substantially from Aerospace’s Engineering and Technology Group to accomplish Aerospace’s strategic Imperatives. Work Model 100% Onsite: This is a full-time position based in Chantilly VA, which requires 100% onsite work. What You’ll Be Doing Role modeling Aerospace core values and leadership attributes with our workforce, customers, and mission partners. Developing and implementing an IPD strategy consistent with corporate goals, customer expectations, and future needs. Leading the IPD team as you meet mission demand, deepening the expertise and collaboration skills of your workforce, and developing future leaders for the corporation. Creating and maintaining a trusted partnership with your customers, mission partners, contractors, and Aerospace colleagues. Collaborating with your customers, mission partners, contractors, and Aerospace (both inside of NSG and with the rest of the company). Prioritizing and managing resources to have the greatest impact across your customer base and for the corporation. Building and retaining high performing teams with a solution-oriented mindset to solve the hardest problems in customer high value impact areas across the portfolio. What You Need to be Successful – General Manager, Imagery (Geospatial) Program Division Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related discipline 12 or more years of technical experience assuring space mission success and space segment acquisition support. Track record of demonstrating Aerospace’s core values and leadership competency model or similar experience with corporate values and attributes. Technical and acquisition competence in the space domain. Strong executive presence with effective communication skills with diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to build trust; and bring in other perspectives to make the best decisions possible. Demonstrated ability to build high performing teams and lead integrated multidisciplinary teams in the face of ambiguity to bring a solution-oriented mindset. Ability to prioritize resources to have the greatest impact. Willing to participate in moderate travel approx. 10-20% This position requires a current Top-secret w/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these: Advanced degree in engineering or other technical discipline. Demonstrated management skills across budget, staff development, planning, and customer accounts. Geospatial development experience in overhead geospatial system development and/or mission operations. Demonstrated ability to lead integrated multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated understanding of the NRO architecture and mission objectives Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for interactions at all levels. Strong customer communication skills required to effectively engage customers and build a beneficial relationship. Ability to influence senior level customer decisions.
