Job Summary:
As a Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, you will coordinate all aspects of the construction process to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all field aspects of the construction project, including planning, scheduling, safety, and implementation.
- Coordinate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Supervise and manage subcontractors, vendors, and construction crews to ensure work is completed according to specifications and quality standards.
- Control progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Address any problems or delays that may arise during the construction process and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and inspectors, to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contract requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by providing leadership, guidance, and support to project teams.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a construction superintendent or similar role, with a track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Procore construction management software and MS Office Suite (preferred)
- OSHA 30 certification and knowledge of safety regulations.
