The Alderman is a neighborhood cocktail bar tucked away inside Pilsen Yards. Winner of the Jean Banchet Award for “Best Bar” in 2022, The Alderman is a small, intimate space that prides itself on offering both an exceptional cocktail program and an approachable, down to earth experience. Stiff, elevated, and pretentious are the opposite of what we do.

We are looking for an experienced beverage director with an extensive bartending resume at cocktail-centric concepts and meaningful management experience.

Average income $1,350-$1,450/week for bartending hours. This is total gross wages and tips, based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation to be discussed with qualified beverage director applicants.

Minimum 3 years prior bartending experience and 2 years management experience required. Extensive spirits and cocktail knowledge required.

Responsibilities include bev prep and production, menu development, ordering and receiving, cost management, and operations. Note that management responsibilities are in addition to (and occur outside of) standard bar operations.
