The Alexander Group Human Resource Consultants, INC. is Hiring a Director of Commissioning Near Austin, TX

A well-established Engineering Firm located in NW Austin is looking to add a Director of Commissioning (Cx) to their team. This person will be responsible for the commissioning process for MEP systems on a variety of different new construction and renovation projects. This includes assisting the Project Managers in executing duties during the construction administration phase of each project. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a stable company that offers great benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review projects in the commissioning phase with all departments involved and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Strong knowledge of the commissioning process with the ability to facilitate ongoing improvements based on new technology.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a strong commissioning team.
  • Develop pre-functional checklists for MEP systems, master deficiency logs, and project commissioning plans per project.
  • Projects may include LEED Cx efforts, AEGB Cx requirements, and IECC minimum Cx
  • Assist with RFQ project write-ups and interviews.
  • Maintain existing client relationships and participate in developing new relationships.
  • Coordinate MEP job observation site visit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of industry experience with a strong focus in commissioning
  • Bachelors or advanced degree in engineering or related industry experience.
  • PE license, Commissioning Certification, Energy Management, or TAB certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the commissioning process with the ability to facilitate ongoing improvements based on new technology.
  • Previous Project Management experience is required.
  • Proficiency with construction and commissioning software such as Pro-core, PlanGrid, Revu Bluebeam, and CxAlloy.
  • Technical knowledge of MEP system design and operation
  • Knowledge of submittal review and RFI processes
