Essential Functions

The employee in the Bookkeeping Specialistjob duties are typically performed with limited supervision and are performed in alignment with contracts, standard operating procedures, project plans, and the supervisor’s expected results

• Process the biweekly payroll for the Align Team.
• Work closely with Human Resources to ensure payroll information is accurate and maintained confidentially.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions for Align and contracted clients and complete monthly posting process.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for Align and contracted clients.
• Print checks, process ACH, and manual and mobile deposits.
• Reconcile bank accounts for contracted clients.
• Verify transactions are recorded accurately and in proper general ledger for Align and contracted clients.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Maintain tracking spreadsheets for employee benefits programs.
• Maintain fixed asset software for Align and prepare annual asset filing.
• Assist with 1099 tax preparation for Align and contracted clients.
• Assist with annual budget preparation for Align and contracted clients.
• Assist with annual audit of Align.
• Assist with establishing and training proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to Align team members and clients as needed.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors, clients, management, and peers.
• Provide information to clients and staff as requested.

• Maintain current technical knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting software.
• Supports corporate values by demonstrating high regard for clients, the communities we serve, and the internal team.
• Protect and maintain confidence for Align, its employees, and clients we serve, ensuring the security of operations by maintaining strict confidentiality protocols.

Non-Essential Functions

• Serves on internal teams that support team building and a welcoming organizational culture.
• Travel occasionally throughout the state of Wyoming and/or outside of Wyoming for client needs and learning opportunities.

Compensation

Starting Range: $19.95-22.00/hour depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principle

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software and Microsoft Excel
