The ALS Group, a Risk Management & Insurance Consulting Firm, is seeking a Client Billing Manager to join the team ideally located in either the Woodbridge, NJ or the Boca Raton, FL commutable areas to work in one of their office locations. This position will have responsibility for all aspects of our billing framework, the process and payment cycle workflow. This is a new position with our firm.

As part of this role we will look for the Billing Manager to investigate and work with our team to choose a new time and billing system as we will be migrating from our current system (Time Matters).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the Client ingestion process to open and maintain all firm client/matter numbers. Set up formats, special rates and all information needed for billing (addresses, phone numbers etc.).
• Review the Engagement Letter for compliance with Billing & Collection guidelines and set up the billing system to comply with the client’s billing arrangements. Check professional rates and set up special rates or disbursement rates as necessary.
• Ensures accurate observance of billing and e-billing requirements and processes;
• Prepares ad-hoc billing reports for internal and external clients;
• Ensures timely invoice submission to clients, based on established timelines;
• Creates and distributes ad hoc operational and billing reports to management as requested;
• Works with Senior Leadership and Partners within the Firm to identify, review and recommend changes in order to automate/enhance timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of billing processes;
• Enter time & also review billing daily for all staff members and provide any necessary changes needed to streamline and accelerate end of month billing review;
• Work directly with Finance team to pull end of month billing reports, review entries for finalization and create invoices alongside Bookkeeper;
• Support the follow up process of outstanding bills as requested.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-starter with 5 years in a similar role managing the billing experience in a professional services environment.
• Ability to work under time constraints, alone or in a team environment including the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them within deadlines.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation;

• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively;
• Proficient Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
• Analytical in nature with strong problem-solving skills, ability to take initiative and use good judgment;

· Ability to juggle competing demands and be deadline driven;

· Strong detail oriented skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

The Client Billing Manager will be the primary contact for the billing and staff productivity reports and responsible for the monthly execution of process and finalization. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
