Description

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of the Financial Analyst is to ensure that the agency’s financial operations are maintained in an efficient and effective manner. Manage all functions of accounts receivable, payroll and accounts payable. Provide meaningful financial data to directors and interested third parties.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

1. Be knowledgeable of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
2. Maintain a detailed and accurate procedure manual to ensure timely processing of accounting functions.
3. Assist CFO & VP of Finance with the preparation of agency budgets including HSC funders and other grant requests.
4. Assist CFO & VP of Finance with desk reviews, monitoring and financial audits, including preparation of year-end analysis and work papers.
5. Assist CFO & VP of Finance with the preparation of monthly internal financial statements, including balance sheet, income statements, trial balance and department income statements.
6. Assist CFO & VP of Finance with the preparation of reports for committees, President/CEO and Board of Directors as necessary including monthly cash flow analysis and cash on hand reports.
7. Assist with the preparation of monthly adjusting general ledger journal entries and reconcile account balances.
8. Maintain segregation of duties.
9. Ensure all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions are performed in a timely manner.
10. Manage all Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD) documentation and reporting.
11. Prepare reports for various federal, state and local agencies related to group homes.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance or human services related field.
2. Extensive hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and GL reconciliations.
3. Non-profit accounting experience a plus.
4. Proficiency in MS Office Suite required. Excel, Access and Teams
5. Experience with SAGE 300 or similar ERP systems desired.
6. A minimum of 3 years of primary responsibility for overseeing, monitoring, supporting and reporting for multiple staff program operation.
7. Valid Florida Driver’s License with reliable transportation.

Must be detail oriented, a problem solver, able to analyze, interpret and implement programs within the organization. The Financial Analyst should establish strong working relationships with colleagues, peers, funders, subcontractors and collaborators. Must have a collaborative working style and have the ability to drive results through influence and communication skills. Should have good writing and communication skills.

SALARY RANGE: $45K to $55K depending on skills and experience
