What You’ll Do
Create and lead enjoyable wellness exercises for residents in the Wellness Center. Help promote a healthy and active lifestyle for our residents.
Arcadia Retirement Residential Location
- Part Time B (20-29 hours per week) Mondays 8:00am - 4:00pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm
- Pay Range $18.90 - $23.96
Responsibilities
within
- strength, balance and movement on land and in the pool.
- Assists independent, assisted living and skilled nursing residents on mobility, balance, range of motion.
- Instructs on the correct use of all exercise equipment and provides support on and off equipment.
- Respects and observes residents’/members’ rights and privacy.
- Leads and organizes personal training sessions with Arcadia at Home members.
- Oversees the swimming pool and assists residents and members in and out of the pool safely.
- Obtains the proper release waivers and doctor's permission slips from residents.
- Charts resident and member wellness attendance, participation and progress.
- Performs the necessary pool maintenance duties when scheduled such as water quality testing and vacuuming.
- Maintains the Wellness Center in a clean and organized condition.
- Performs the necessary duties for emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Manual.
- Ensures departmental compliance with corporate, state, and federal safety guidelines.
Qualifications

Education/Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience with seniors or fitness preferred.
Certificate, Licenses, and Registrations
Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to

walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
