JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing accounting/financial support for the plant and its managers for the divisions as assigned.
Responsibilities include:
· Supporting Sales and Operations management in financial decision making
· Participating in the development of new accounting techniques in the design and implementation of accounting subsystems, compilation of manuals for accounting and computer application, and preparing managerial reports
· Reviewing costing records and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of calculations, legitimacy of transactions and proper authorizations
· Prepare the monthly job profitability report for divisions as assigned.
· Preparation of monthly warranty reserve analysis and % used verification
· Participating in annual standard labor and fixed/burden analyses
· Conferring with managers regarding problem areas and making recommendations for increasing efficiency and for procedural alternatives
· Assisting in the completion of month-end closing and account reconciliations as assigned
· Running of month end reports
· Manage suspense account.
· Commission Entry
· Rebate entry
· Clearing out under over absorbed by division.
· Create and manage special work orders
· Prepare absorption analysis schedule for monthly financial packet.
· Prepare efficiency reports weeks for manufacturing
· Preparing and reviewing monthly profitability report
· Commissions and rebate reconciliations
· Financial statement preparation and analysis for assigned divisions
· Documenting all accounting processes and procedures as assigned
· Assisting the Divisional Controller with monitoring and forecasting revenues and expenditures
· Assisting the Divisional Controller in the preparation of the annual company budget by doing research and extracting, manipulating, and forecasting data for plant budget reporting and divisions as assigned
· Additional items as assigned by manager.
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
This position interacts with Division Presidents, Project Managers, Engineering, Plant Management, and other Senior Management leaders as well as the accounting team.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree required
· 5-7 years previous demonstrated experience as a plant controller or Senior Plant Cost Accountant in a multi-plant environment with supervision experience preferred
· Progressively increasing responsibility with cost accounting, standard costing, job order reporting, variance analysis, ABC (activity based costing), physical inventories, account reconciliations and audit preparation/ assistance
· CPA certification, CMA certification and/or master’s degree preferred
EQUIPMENT USED
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer and Manage 2000 or similar ERP system experience
WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
This position will be in an indoor office setting, sitting for long periods of time.
