Utilizing cutting-edge technology in neurofeedback and nutrition with the expertise of top neuroscientists, meditators, and industry-leading executive trainers, Dave crafted 40 Years of Zen: the most powerful 5-day neurofeedback program on the planet.

General Manager -

The General Manager (GM) is pivotal in steering the growth and operation of 40 Years of Zen. This leadership position oversees business management, leads a team of approximately ten people, and crafts and executes strategic initiatives for the company's long-term success. This includes identifying expansion opportunities, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless coordination of onsite and offsite offerings. The GM provides visionary leadership, sets overarching goals, and evaluates business function performance to drive sustainable growth. This includes launching new products such as Zen at Home and incorporating ketamine at Zen. The GM is also responsible for creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), launching new products, and managing full profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is a communicative, assertive, and strategic visionary leader who is reliable, organized, client-centric, mission-driven and capable of handling multiple projects and scenarios while maintaining professionalism. They should be passionate about health, nutrition, and spirituality and interested in biohacking for optimal mental and physical performance. The candidate should possess high emotional intelligence (EQ) and intellectual quotient (IQ), resilience, effective decision-making skills, a commitment to excellence, and a positive attitude. They will be accountable for outcomes, encourage open communication, and seek strategic partnerships to contribute to the organization's success.

What You Will Be Doing -

1) Strategic Leadership:

  • Provide visionary leadership to guide the overall direction and growth of the program
  • Develop and articulate strategic objectives, both short-term and long-term, aligning with the portfolio's overall mission

2) Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards
  • Collaborate with the Business Manager to implement operational strategies that enhance the client experience

3) Team Coordination and Management:

  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration across the portfolio
  • Work closely with the Business Manager to ensure effective team management practices, including performance reviews, workforce planning, and talent onboarding/offboarding

4) Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive budgets with a focus on achieving financial goals
  • Collaborate with the Business Manager on financial forecasting, ensuring full P&L accountability

5) Reporting and Analysis:

  • Compile and present comprehensive reports on sales, revenue, and market research for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Analyze internal data and metrics to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement

6) Brand Development and Marketing:

  • Leverage expertise in sales, marketing, and technology to contribute to the development of an industry-leading brand
  • Collaborate with the Business Manager to optimize online user experience, including website navigation, design, and the development of SEO and SEM strategies

7) Client Relations:

  • Ensure a world-class experience for clients, collaborating with the Business Manager to deliver exceptional client welcomes, orientations, and service from sale to product return

8) Sales Process Optimization:

  • Manage and optimize the overall sales process, working closely with the Business Manager on pricing strategies, sales data review, and conversion rate optimization

9) Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Work with the portfolio leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives that contribute to long-term business success
  • Delegate and lead processes to control labor costs and operating overhead, ensuring efficient resource allocation

10) Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster effective communication between the executive team, department heads, and other stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between the portfolio leadership team and 40 Years of Zen team members, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives

What It Takes / Requirements -

  • 7 years of experience in leadership or managerial roles, showcasing strategic decision-making and team management
  • 5 years of experience emphasizing a client-centric approach and maintaining world-class standards
  • Degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience demonstrating comprehensive business acumen
  • Tech-savvy with an interest in emerging technologies
  • Strong educational foundation and/or practical experience in scientific fields, healing modalities, or neurofeedback, providing valuable industry-specific insights and understanding of trends
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of sales and business development strategies
  • Strong analytical skills, including market research capabilities
  • Composed and attentive leadership style, especially under pressure
  • Exceptional time-management skills and effective multitasking

Compensation -

Based on this position and the requirements above we are offering a yearly salary of $150,000. The actual compensation will be carefully considered based on a range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Benefits -

We offer 16 days of paid vacation, along with sick pay and holiday pay. In addition, we cover 100% of health, dental, and vision premiums for our employees, and 50% for their dependents. Employees also have the option to contribute to a 401(k) plan.
