Join our dynamic team at The Bainbridge Companies, a leading property management company dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences for our residents. We're currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team at The Southerly at St. Augustine in St. Augustine, Florida.

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall upkeep and maintenance of the property and contributing to the overall satisfaction of our residents. Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to maintain the property's physical condition and functionality.

Requirements:
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, electrical outlets, and appliances. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Repairs: Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and property management staff. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Painting and Finishing: Perform painting, caulking, and finishing tasks to maintain the appearance of interior and exterior surfaces. Patch and repair walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address safety hazards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duty and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular working hours. Address emergency situations such as floods, fires, and power outages as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Order supplies as needed and ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documenting and reporting maintenance activities.
  • EPA I and II or Universal certification required.
  • CAMT certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus!
