Job DescriptionThe Bair Foundation is looking for a THERAPIST in YORK, PA!The Bair Foundation is a leading treatment foster care agency that was founded in 1967 and has been nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation since 2002. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for working with at-risk youth and families. Our team consists of dedicated and committed staff members who go above and beyond to ensure our children and families are getting the best care and services. This position is responsible for providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and families with emotional and mental health issues. The therapist will facilitate therapeutic services in accordance with The Bair Foundation's mission and promotes the provision of safe, secure, and nurturing living experiences for clients. Services are provided in varied locations: within the home, therapeutic foster home, or community.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure that abuse and neglect concerns are appropriately reported and immediate actions are taken to ensure client safety.
  • Assess the well-being of clients and mitigating any identified risk with direct supervisor and other appropriate team members this would include utilizing supervision sessions to process safety on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure high risk behaviors of clients are mitigated through therapeutic services which may include education and skill development of a client's guardian or caregiver.
  • Complete an initial placement assessment of clients to guide the service plan development.
  • Facilitate the service planning meetings to include inviting all team members, preparing the written documentation of the plan and distributing the plan to all members of the client’s team.
  • Provide weekly individual and family support as prescribed in the client's service plan (person-centered/strength-based plan).
  • Provide on-call support services and identify any additional services in the client's community as supports.
  • Participate in supervision and required team meetings for the client served.
  • Assist in transition of community services, working in cooperation with other providers/agencies.
  • Review documentation to ensure that all goals/objectives as defined in the service plan are being implemented and documentation meets program standards and Medicaid guidelines.
  • Cover "on-call" when assigned, which includes responding to emergency situations after hours.
  • Provide an environment which promotes respect for clients, their privacy, and confidentiality that follows HIPAA regulations.
Job Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mental Health field with required Clinical Practicum from an accredited college or university
  • One year minimum in serving children and families
  • License preferred: BSL, LPC, LSW, LCSW, or be willing to work towards a clinical licensure
