The Baker Next Door’s Story: Neighbors Jenna and Brian started The Baker Next Door to share their passion for producing high quality, expertly crafted artisanal bread, pastries and coffee, and to provide a community-oriented, inviting space for friends to connect over good food, good coffee and a nice chat.
We seek only team oriented people with 100% commitment to work as part of a team, but who are very comfortable working on their own when needed with little guidance to achieve the team’s objective: creating kick-ass products and treating customers and fellow team members with the highest degree of respect and consideration to provide a gathering place that connects people through the sharing of thoughtfully crafted products.
Lead Barista Overview:
The Lead Barista will be responsible for developing our coffee program. Like the bakery side of the business, we would like our coffee program to highlight well sourced, local roasters with like minded business policies. The Lead Barista will also be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee program, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer service. This role requires a team-oriented individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for coffee. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.

This is a full-time hourly position at the bakery/café on Main Street, Redwood City, CA.
