**Description**

**The starting pay range for this position begins at $19.06/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.**

This first level leadership position in Parking & Transportation provides Biltmore Estate with effective hands-on leadership of teams engaged in all aspects of department operations. This includes: post positions; shuttle driving for our day guests; special requests for transportation of groups staying on the property for meetings and special events; transportation for lodging guests; monitoring of specialty tours; and valet. The incumbent serves as a resource for staff and guests, supports daily operations, and enhances the development of critical skills of team members. In addition, the Crew Leader will provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and the company as required.

**This position will work both 1st & 2nd shifts which will vary from 7:00am - 12:00am. Weekend and evening availability is a requirement of this position.**

**Essential Job Duties**

1. Exhibits thorough knowledge of and oversees Parking and Transportation daily

operations.

2. Plans and coordinates daily and weekly projects with supervisors/manager.

3. Observes and coaches staff on a daily basis to insure a high level of guest service; may assist with hiring and training as assigned.

4. Distributes any additional resources and/or equipment as needed by staff.

5. Provides regular feedback regarding day to day operations.

6. Performs safety checks with leadership on a monthly basis.

7. Advises on individual job performance, essential in conducting meaningful

staff evaluations.

8. Executes emergency procedures during floods, snow and ice, bomb threats, etc.

9. Communicates with staff across the estate concisely and professionally.

10. Performs high level guest recovery when necessary.

11. Complies with all safety procedures related to duties.

12. Assists Biltmore Estate guests in a positive, courteous manner.

**Requirements**

1. High school diploma (or GED); First Aid, CPR, AED certification strongly preferred.

2. Two (2) years of related guest service and/or training experience. Preferred candidate will have supervisory experience in an upscale attraction/hotel/resort setting.

3. Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class internal/external guest service; proven leadership skills; ability to build/develop/motivate successful teams.

4. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; conveys information clearly and concisely; strong guest service recovery and negotiation skills; solid public speaking skills.

5. Excellent planning and time management skills; prioritizes work, adapts as needed; attention to detail with focus on quality and service.

6. Quickly acquires and maintains knowledge of Biltmore history, products/services, systems, protocols, etc. Knowledge of Asheville and WNC attractions/history a plus.

7. Proactive, exercises good judgment; creatively problem solves; anticipates, addresses, and troubleshoots; handles situations calmly and with diplomacy.

8. Basic knowledge of Word, Outlook; Excel a plus; can quickly learn Bitmore systems.

9. Represents Biltmore professionally in alignment with values/standards at all times.

10. Must be available to work both 1st and 2nd shifts

**Physical Requirements:**

1. Must have a North Carolina Commercial Driver's License with a passenger (P) endorsement, and current CDL medical card; or be able to obtain these credentials within the first 120 days of employment.

2. Must be at least 21 with a clean driving record.

3. Ability to stand and move throughout the parking lots and across the Estate.

4. Ability to endure extremes of temperature and weather while working outside.

5. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

6. Ability to assist with wheelchair lifts and ADA equipped shuttle loading and unloading as needed.

**Travel Required**

Yes . Position works directly with estate transport; driver's license required. **Qualifications**
