Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct assessments and document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Communicating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Implement pain management strategies and monitor patient response to interventions.
- Administer medications via inhalation as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Experience:
- Must be a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) with a valid state license.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with working in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of occupational health practices is beneficial.
Skills:
- Strong patient care skills, including the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficient in case management techniques to coordinate care across different healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of airway management procedures and respiratory treatments.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable.
- Understanding of pain management principles and interventions.
- Ability to administer medications via inhalation according to prescribed protocols.
