Job Description
Warehouse managers oversee operations in the warehouse to ensure all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. A warehouse manager will complete various tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouses storage and shipment processes. They will lead their team by setting productivity goals, placing inventory orders, setting up logical organization systems, and creating communication systems within the warehouse. They direct shipments and resolve logistical challenges by communicating with clients, transportation providers, manufacturers, and suppliers. Warehouse managers help determine standards for quality control and inspect inventory/packaging to ensure everything is correct without defaults. They strategize on inventory volumes and warehouse capacity to maximize productivity.
Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)
  • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient/organized warehouse
  • Monitor work and manage warehouse employees to ensure the safe use of any warehouse equipment
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
  • Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order/restock.
  • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors, and owners

Qualifications
Previous management skills preferred
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate employees, and manage conflict
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
Familiar with inventory control practices and logistics
Good project management skills, including: strong decision making, problem solving, and strategic planning abilities

Work Environment
Required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting
Must be able to communicate effectively and work as a team
Physically and mentally able to handle multiple tasks and maintain good stamina
Must be able to lift objects up to 50lbs
