SUMMARY

Responsible for the maintenance, reception, and shipment of inventory, products, and supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Verify goods upon receipt. This includes verification of quantity, quality, and general description of goods per Bradbury purchase order requirements.
• Deliver goods to inventory locations with accuracy.
• Pull inventory goods from pick lists and route goods to the next operation efficiently and accurately.
• Report inventory discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Prepare and package goods for shipment ensuring proper protection during shipment.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Improve existing processes and procedures in a proactive manner, working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

• Customer relations skills.
• General office skills.
• Intermediate keyboarding and PC skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to recognize similarities and differences between word and numerical series.
• Requires the ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Basic problem-solving.
• Ability to operate a fork lift and obtain forklift certification
• Ability to operate overhead cranes

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED

• Prefer previous inventory/receiving experience.

• This position is very active and requires standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all day.
• The employee must lift and/or move 10-20 pounds constantly, frequently lift and/or move 20-50 pounds and occasionally exert (pushing/pulling) 50-100 pounds of force.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
