Days: TH/F//S 630pa-3p (8 HR SHIFT on Women's Unit)*** Start Date Approximately 6.11.24

NIGHTS: F/S/S 7a-7p

NIGHTS: M-TH 1030p-7a CHARGE NURSE

EVENING: M-TH 230p-11p CHARGE NURSE

Job Requirements:

1. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Arkansas.

2. Current CPR/BLS and CPI certifications (offered onsite).

3. Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.

Position Purpose:

The Registered Nurse is a key component of The BridgeWay clinical team providing direct patient care. The RN’s responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, medication management, accurate documentation, milieu management, team leadership skills, and crisis intervention and health education to patients/families.

Total education, vocational training and experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Psychiatric experience preferred. Working knowledge of psychiatric nursing modalities preferred. Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette is required.
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor and other hospital employees.
  • Ability to provide direction, support, and supervision.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in how information is processed.
