Position Summary

Brinderson is looking to hire janitorial workers that consist primarily of general housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all cleaning and routine maintenance duties for all facilities (meeting rooms/restrooms/offices/inside-outside grounds).
  • Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash, windows and cleaning furniture and equipment
  • Brushing with broom all the dust on the floor, private stairways and vacuuming the areas with carpet as well as moping the tiled floor with mop.
  • Cleaning and emptying all containers used for waste.
  • Cleaning the glass of the entry doors from inside and outside.
  • Cleaning the exterior of the entry area.
  • Cleaning and washing all of the water coolers.
  • Clean and polish the tile floors appropriately as necessary as it needs to be done.
  • Clean all the dust from the outside surfaces of the light fixtures as well as glass and the plastic enclosures of the fixtures.
  • Clean all the dust from the charts, graphs and wall hangings such as paintings.
  • Clean all the dust by hand from the office furnishings, fixtures, files, sills of windows, paneling and other flat surfaces.
  • Damp dirt on all ceilings and air conditioning vents.
  • Keep sinks free from dirt. Keep tidy and well arranged.
  • Keep supplies replenished and communicate to Supervisor when getting low on those supplies to reorder on a timely manner.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a Janitor.
  • Working knowledge of various cleaning methods.
  • The ability to lift heavy equipment.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Problem solving.
