Overview
The Brookwood Community is looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the administrative activities of the Maintenance Department and the day-to-day operations of the office. This position is responsible for ensuring the maintenance office runs smoothly and efficiently including such matters as purchasing parts and equipment, shipping and receiving, inventory management, budget development, and records maintenance. This role represents the department as a member of management committees including the Stewardship and Safety Committees. A successful candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and a background in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred. An associate's degree and three to six months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. This role may perform technician and general maintenance duties as needed. This position's schedule is Monday-Friday with weekends as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic clerical duties such as data entry, calendar management, and maintaining records of maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from staff and visitors regarding facility issues.
- Support the maintenance team in organizing schedules and coordinating with vendors for repairs or services.
- Utilize computer literacy skills to manage maintenance software and documentation effectively.
- Proofread documents related to maintenance reports and ensure accuracy in all communications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint is required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with proofreading capabilities.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
