Data & Events Coordinator - Technology Department (Seattle, WA)
Full-time (40-hours per week)
Yearlong Position (12-month schedule)

The Bush School, a K-12 progressive, independent school located in Seattle, WA, is in search of an individual to join our Technology team as a Data and Events Coordinator. We are seeking a candidate who is able to support the school's mission of diversity and inclusion and who has a background that demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of intercultural fluency. We are building a team in which diversity of experiences, backgrounds, and talents are valued in order to work with a diverse community of students, faculty, staff and families. While other duties may be assigned, a qualified candidate will be able to execute on the key responsibilities and tasks listed below:
  • Coordinate IT office's role in supporting school events
  • Collaborate with other departments and outside parties to ensure event success
  • Monitor helpdesk ticketing system
  • Offer tier-one technical support
  • Dispatch tier-two technical support
  • Execute data entry tasks in collaboration with IT staff
  • Help ensure accuracy of data for which IT takes primary responsibility
  • Maintain user accounts and inventory data in an array of storage locations
  • Assist in hardware and software research
  • Assist in deployment of hardware
  • Proactively maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Monitor completion of financial information
  • Collaborate across departments to cover ancillary staffing needs
  • Occasionally assist in supervising groups of students
  • Attend regular and as-needed department meetings
  • Other projects assigned by Director of Technology, Systems & Extended Programs
Experience and Professional Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong work ethic, organized, punctual, and attention to detail; Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
  • Experience working with databases; Knowledge of databases.
  • Fluency in Google Drive and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities as required.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to navigate ambiguous situations.
  • Experience solving technical problems on a deadline.
  • Experience in educational settings, working with teachers and students.

Additional Requirements:
  • Have a current Adult and Children CPR, First Aid and AED Certification (or receive one soon after hire date).
  • Meet the school's standards when completing two separate background screenings.
Compensation/Benefit Information for this position:
  • Compensation Range (Annual Rate of Pay): $69,945
