About the role.

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for providing complex qualitative and quantitative data analysis, developing compelling visual products and data tools to support evidence-based policy development with The Cabinet Office and across the sector. Data and intelligence collection and analysis efforts will also inform strategic insights and contribute to branch projects and digital platforms.

You. Our ideal candidate.

• You’re able to provide high level expertise to support the development and design of data sets/products, intelligence collection systems and digital platforms.
• You’re able to critically analyse complex datasets, manage data extraction and quality assurance, and apply descriptive and inferential statistical analysis to interpret trends and patterns and generate insights.
• You can translate and communicate, both verbally and in written form, technical and complex analysis to audiences with varying statistical and data literacy and seniority within The Cabinet Office and across the sector.
• You can develop compelling products that visualise complex datasets for senior decision makers. Provide leadership and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders across The Cabinet Office and the NSW public sector in relation to the use of data to make informed decisions.
• You can proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies to the design, implementation and analysis of data and ensure that data assets are appropriately managed to ensure compliance with data governance standards.
• You initiate and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Shaping Future’s products by researching and testing new and emerging methodologies, technologies, software and statistical techniques.
• You can develop and support activities, including preparation of templates, resources and guidelines, organisation of training and seminars, and communication of findings.

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10. Package includes base salary ($120,859 - $ 133,183) plus superannuation and leave loading.
