St. Patrick Catholic School in Largo is looking for a permanent part-time office secretary to assist in the management of the school office and be the first line of contact for teachers, parents, students, and all visitors. The secretary must project a professional confidential demeanor at all times. This position will be for 29 hours per week (schedule is flexible, but must be consistent week to week) Monday through Friday during the school year. Job Responsibilities :
Greets all staff, students and parents and assists as requested
Greets all visitors and provides direction to appropriate personnel
Responds to all inquiries and provides appropriate information, assistance related to school, office and program operations, activities, policies and procedures
Inputs data as needed
Generates communications, reports and lists as requested
Provides clerical support to Principal and teachers
Performs all duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Some college preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish), is preferred but not required
One year of successful experience as a secretary or administrative assistant, preferably in a school setting
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
Knowledge of and prior use of office equipment (copiers, computers, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Practicing Roman Catholic preferred
Completion and clearance of Level II fingerprint background screening is required
