Overview

The Associate Director of the Program of Accreditation supports the Director of Accreditation in the development and implementation of the Program of PK-12 Catholic School Accreditation offered by The Catholic University of America. The Associate Director assists in the program’s processes and operations, engages with member dioceses and schools, and performs duties as assigned by the Director of Accreditation. The Associate Director will be expected to travel as needed to engage with members, present on the accreditation program and at national conferences, and serve on accreditation visits. He or she reports to the Director of Catholic School Accreditation.

The salary range for this position is $80,000- $90,000. 

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Director of Accreditation in the development and implementation of the K-12 Catholic School Program of Accreditation.
  • Implements, and evaluates the strategy, process, and timeline for new member school/diocese candidacy and onboarding.
  • Works with the Director of Accreditation to develop, implement, and evaluate early learning accreditation to member dioceses and schools.
  • Serves as point of contact for member questions and/or assistance with Lumen software.
  • Evaluates the role and expectations for diocesan-level commissioner(s), works with a consultative expert(s) to provide for their training, certification, and ongoing formation, and equips commissioners with the tools and knowledge to train and form accreditation team members in their local diocese. 
  • Travels for direct engagement with members, potential members, and to attend national and/or local conferences.
  • Maintains an effective database on member schools and dioceses. 
  • Serves as a point of contact for member schools and dioceses, and provides regular communication from ITCE.
  • Assist with additional special projects and duties as needed and assigned by the Director of Accreditation.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Education or a related discipline. 
  • Works with the Director of Accreditation to develop, implement, and evaluate early learning accreditation to member dioceses and schools.
  • minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching and/or leadership in Catholic elementary or secondary schools, with direct experience in school or diocesan-level accreditation.
  • Demonstrated experience in program or project management is required, and experience in data collection and use is preferred.
  • The candidate should demonstrate leadership experience in strategy, planning, and coordination of a team.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer applications, including Google Applications, MS Office, and Zoom or similar meeting platforms.
  • Working knowledge or willingness to learn PeopleSoft applications.
  • Willingness to learn new computer skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic, committed to the mission of Catholic education and the vision and philosophy of the Institute for the Transformation of Catholic Education (ITCE).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • High degree of integrity and discretion and professional demeanor.

  • Ability to enthusiastically communicate the mission of the Program of PK-12 Catholic School Accreditation with internal and external constituencies.
