Posting Title:
Special Collections Project Archivist
Overview:

Arrange, describe, and process the archival papers of Msgr. Robert Trisco, including the creation of a finding aid (collection guide) using ASPACE. Supervise student assistants as needed. Also, write a blog post about the collection, and do other promotional work as needed.

This position is funded by the donor and expected to be a nine month appointment.

Responsibilities:

1. Arrange, describe, and process the archival papers of Msgr. Robert Trisco, including the creation of a finding aid (collection guide) using ASPACE.
2. Supervise processing of archival records by student workers.
3. Provide reference and referral assistance to inquirers, visitors.
4. Perform promotional and outreach work related to the Trisco Papers as needed.

Qualifications:
  • A Master's Degree in History or Library & Information Science.
  • Two years experience working with archival or rare book research collections.

  • Working knowledge of principles and practice of modern archival management.
