The Center for Therapeutic Learning and... is Hiring a Behavior Technician Near Chesterfield, MI

We’re now hiring for a full-time Behavior Technician

Paid training

Are you looking for a fulfilling career where you can spend your day making a difference in children’s life’s? Would you like to teach children language/communication, social skills, daily living/adaptive skills, pre-academic skills, and more? Would you like to help children with special needs develop their skills and reach their potential? Would you like to be a part of children’s success stories?

If so, then consider becoming a Behavior Technician with TLC!

The Center for TLC is a family-centered pediatric therapy facility that serves infants through young adults and provides one-on-one services to meet each individual's needs. We are looking for professional, caring, and fun individuals that have a strong desire to assist each child in meeting their maximum potential in a fun and loving atmosphere.

Why TLC is different than other clinics…

· We’ve been involved in the community for 15 years and built a stellar reputation with our patients and their families.

· Other clinics only compensate their Behavior Technicians for time spent treating patients, and reduce their hours if a patient cancels service for the day. However, our Behavior Technicians are compensated for their overall hours worked each day (treating, training, completing documentation, etc.). Not just for the time spent treating patients. We also understand that our employees depend on having consistent hours each week. Therefore, we do not require Behavior Technicians to end their shift early if a child cancels.

· We offer paid lunches for those that work a minimum of 6 hours per shift.

· Our Behavior Technicians treat in-clinic, not in-home.

· Consistent and daily support from supervisors.

· We offer a fun and supportive work environment.

Our Behavior Technicians work under the general supervision of TLC’s Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Job duties take place in TLC’s clinic.

Behavior Technician job responsibilities also include:

· Collecting accurate, systematic data of patient progress in skill acquisition, behavior management, and/or daily living activities for each therapy session.

· Regular consultation/meetings with supervising BCBA to review patient objectives/goals, assess patient progress and recommend changes to treatment plan as needed. This includes participating in weekly direct supervision with BCBA and child.

· Consult supervising BCBA to assist in treatment implementation for difficult patients.

· Regular consultation with medical staff and other ABA and non-ABA therapists (e.g., speech and occupational therapists) to review patient progress.

· Aids BCBA in development of program materials for caregivers, teachers, therapists who may facilitate development and generalization of skills.

Job Requirements:

· Education: A minimum of a high school diploma.

· Experience: At least 6 months experience working directly with children, preferably with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other Developmental Disabilities.

As well as the ability to run/move quickly if required to do so for the safety of the children with whom you work.
