Our client is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Marketing Manager with a passion for combatting climate change and a commitment to excellence. Directly reporting to the President/Founder, this role offers the unique opportunity to support, execute and contribute to the marketing strategy of a leader in the renewable energy consulting sector. The Marketing Manager will be the first full-time marketing position, with a clear path for professional growth. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on do-er, have a proven track record in marketing within the professional services sector, a strong grasp of marketing tech stack and methodologies, and preferably, experience in the clean energy field. The ideal candidate will have experience in a startup or similar small-firm environment, be wired to jump in and do what is needed, and be a finisher who can take execution across the finish line.
Most of the firm's historic sales of subscription-based and bespoke consulting services have been executed through existing professional networks, thought leadership and ad hoc content marketing. The firm is now focusing on moving beyond 1-1 personal-network based sales origination, and developing over the coming year a commercial sales engine. The candidate will work with management and practice area leads and operations team initially focusing on particular near-term goals including:
Over time, the candidate’s focus will evolve to helping leaders establish a broader marketing capability, with support and coaching resources added as and when needed to support steps in this evolution, and an increasing strategic involvement.

The firm is headquartered in Framingham, MA. This position could be filled by the right candidate either based at our headquarters – where we maintain a hybrid work schedule (currently 3 days/week in office, 2 remote) – or full-time remote. While most of the job responsibilities can be conducted remotely, the ~20% of staff that are remote are expected to work from headquarters ~3 days per month.
