The Utility Billing / Meter Tech is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of water utility services to City residents.
This role involves a wide range of tasks that require physical strength and stamina, as well as a commitment to excellent customer service.
Specific tasks related to community engagement, fieldwork and troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance, record keeping, and billing.

Working Conditions :
Essential job functions are completed in an office setting, as well as in a field environment. Must be able to safely operate City vehicles and equipment and perform a variety of physically demanding tasks at noisy, dusty, muddy, or damp work sites.
Work areas may also expose employees to bees, snakes, chiggers, pollen, poison ivy, and other similar hazards. This employee must repeatedly set up safe work zones in compliance with established guidelines and is often exposed to traffic hazards, temperature extremes, and other hazards including electrical shock, and airborne contaminants such as fuels, paints, and other chemical substances or vapors.
Physical tasks often include walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, stooping, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 100 pounds.
Physical Requirements :
employing various dynamic and static postures such as standing, walking, forward reaching, handling (gripping and grasping), fingering, talking, hearing, using near and far acuity, depth and color perception, peripheral vision, sitting, climbing up and down a ladder and steps, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, crawling and smelling.
The salary range for this role is $41,600- $45,760 annually. This is a temp to hire role, the goal is to convert over to the company after the probationary.
