Job Description

Job Description

Client Services Specialist

The Chamberlin Group is a fast-growing financial services company that is unlike any you’ve ever met.

If you're an ambitious go-getter willing to take on the challenge of nurturing client relationships and enhancing our service experience, we want to hear from you.

We know you’ve heard the “we’re unique” line before, and we don’t expect you to take our word for it. Check out our website, online reviews, and social profiles – there may be some questions about them during your interview. We know exactly who we serve, how we serve them, and why it’s important.

We give purpose and meaning to the work we do by supporting people entering the retirement stage of their lives. Unlike most financial services companies, which just want to close a book of business, we invest in knowing their hopes, goals, and dreams so they move into retirement with confidence and a plan.

Join us as our Client Services Specialist, where your passion for people and detail-oriented nature will directly impact our clients' financial well-being.

Step into a role that empowers you to make a lasting impact:

  • As the go-to guru for our clients, you’ll build rapport like a pro and become their trusted financial confidant - always ready with a helping hand and a friendly smile.
  • You'll be the master communicator, keeping clients and colleagues in the loop by ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Create a positive experience for all by anticipating client concerns before they even arise and finding creative solutions.
  • As the behind-the-scenes wizard, you’ll keep our Financial Planner team organized and on top of their game - from insurance processing, onboarding clients, tackling paperwork like a champ, and scheduling meetings.
  • You'll be entrusted with maintaining the confidentiality of our clients' information, ensuring their data is meticulously organized, secure, and up-to-date.
  • With your lightning-fast response time and attention to detail to client inquiries and requests, you'll leave clients feeling heard and happy.

This position requires work from our office, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5pm.

Data-Driven Results

We're all about making our clients happy and exceeding their expectations! As the Client Services Specialist, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our clients have a positive experience every step of the way.

Here are the areas in which the Client Services Specialist will be measured:

  • Play a key role in retaining clients by providing exceptional service and support.
  • Resolve client issues efficiently while ensuring a positive experience.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to our Financial Planner team.
  • Ensure client files and reports are impeccably organized, accurate, and up-to-date.

By the way, bring your game plan for hitting these goals to the interview.

About You - Traits and Skills Necessary for Success

As a Client Services Specialist at The Chamberlin Group, you'll find yourself in an environment that values your unique qualities:

  • You'll thrive in our interactive culture, where communication and engagement are key to success.
  • You're the ultimate team player, thriving on collaboration and bringing out the best in everyone around you as we work towards shared goals.
  • You possess a keen eye for detail and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring goals are met with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Versatility is at the heart of what we do, and you'll enjoy the variety of challenges and situations you'll encounter, adapting with ease.
  • You exhibit strong self-discipline, effectively managing your time and workload to consistently meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • As a people person, your ability to listen, empathize, and find solutions comes natural as you build rapport with our clients and team members.
Client Services Specialist Requirements
  • Have a college degree or real-world experience showing that you can learn at a higher level and stick with long-term initiatives.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in customer service and/or the financial industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite, as well as experience with CRM databases.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric focus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate of $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Pay rate is assessed every 6 months for an increase so that we remain competitive with industry benchmarks.
  • Participate in our Stake in the Outcome (SITO) incentive program with a potential individual annual bonus after 1 year of service.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Employer-paid Group Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Voluntary Group Life Insurance and AD&D, short and long term disability, and various other supplementary benefits.
  • Employee wellness program and perks.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) of 15 days, with increased accrual based on length of tenure. PTO is available for you after your first 90 days.
  • 401k retirement plan eligibility after 1 year of service, with a 3% company contribution
  • Opportunities for professional development and advancement, including certifications and continuous learning related to your success in this role.
  • Parental Leave benefits.
  • Participation in our fun company events and gatherings, including our off-site team quarterly meetings, holiday and event celebrations, annual family picnic, Cardinals games in an all-inclusive party suite, volunteer events, and more!
