Job Description Summary: Draper is looking for experience microelectronic and conventional electronics assemblers to perform highly skilled SMT or microelectronics assembly work. This role involves complex hand soldering, assembly tasks, and the operation, maintenance, and calibration of specialized equipment. Candidates should have a high degree of manual dexterity and attention to detail. Responsibilities include documenting work accurately, executing scientific experiments, supporting acceptance procedures, and performing focused training to enhance department skills. Additionally, mentoring, training, or supervising peer technicians may be required. This is a unionized, hourly position ($49.86/hr). Job Description: • Leads day to day and week to week product movement objectives and report on operations status and issues to internal and external stakeholders. • Leads production data capture and analysis required to make data• based decisions for setting and achieving quality, yield, and repetitive process improvement objectives. • Coordinates upstream and downstream processes to ensure production performance objectives and schedule are met. • Coordinates and integrates multi functional team• oriented production floor collaboration to drive overall continuous improvement in product quality and that of production process performance. • Support product development, technology qualification (including technology transfers), along with production ramp up and yield improvement projects. • Drive efficiency, realization of targets within budget and deadlines, organizational performance, and people management. • Drive production schedules and timelines. Accurately establish plant capacity. • Work closely with members of Senior Management to align operations with business needs/opportunities. • Promote an environment of cooperation and trust. • Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and develop direct reports to ensure they are skilled and trained to perform their functions in a high quality and efficient manner. Skills/Abilities • Knowledge of cleanroom practices and protocols • Knowledge of small scale production environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment • Strong organizational and time• management skills Education High School diploma or equivalent Experience 3-5 years experience working in a semiconductor process/ advanced packaging production facility in production processes such as photolithography, chemical etching, physical vapor deposition including sputtering, plating , and metrology Additional Job Description: Graduation from a two-year technical school with at least 10 years of applicable experience. Experience will not be considered in lieu of the education requirement. Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
