The Chateau Girardeau is seeking a creative, energetic, and fun-loving individual to serve as our Activity Coordinator in our Assisted Living facility.

Key Job Responsibilities Include: 

• Plan and coordinate meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental and social well-being
• Plan and develop monthly activity calendar
• Recruit, train, & coordinate volunteers to support community activities & events
• Track expenses and maintain budget on an ongoing basis

This position is full-time and will work 40 hours per week. Some evenings and weekends will be required as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School diploma required
• Experience & training in working with people with dementia/other memory issues
• Valid chauffer's license and ability to drive a 15-passenger bus
• Experience coordinating and leading dynamic activities for groups of 15 or more
• Demonstrated strengths in oral & written communication & organizational skills
• Demonstrated success in the use of technology in activities
• Proven ability in program management and development
• One year experience in a licensed health care setting preferred
