Position: Residential Care Specialist
Reports to: RHY Program Manager
Principal Purpose of Job:
This position involves working with Runaway and Homeless Youth who are a victim of abuse, neglect, homelessness, human trafficking, and/or who are high risk for victimization.
Duties include:
Oversee the RHY or Pelican site Shelters/Apartments
Keep Shelters and apartments clean and organized at all times
Be available 24/7 for crisis calls.
Conduct assessment for possible admission to appropriate programs within TCCI.
Always maintains Client confidentiality of information.
Report client information to Case Workers, Sr.Case Manager and Program Managers
Conduct intake and exit interviews, if needed
Conduct ongoing Case Management, if needed
Assist clients staying at shelters with any help or assistance
Refer clients to resources
Take clients to medical appointments as needed.
Expected to attend all scheduled staff meetings and training.
Represent agency at community functions, activities, and events.
Expected to assist in the daily sanitation and cleanliness of site.
Position Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish, Asian/English, and other dialects that reflect the diverse population of the area are preferred)
Able to transport Clients
Education:
AA/BA in Social Work, Recommended
GED/HS Diploma required.
