The Children's Center is Hiring an Early Preschool Lead Teacher Near Harwich, MA

The Children’s Center in Harwich is looking for a Lead Preschool Teacher who will be responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children. In this position, you will be expected to supervise and lead assistant teachers, communicate with parents, and maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment for the children in your care. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a passion for working with young children. The position is 35-40 hours per week, year round, in a safe, happy and exciting learning environment.Must hold Early Education and Care Lead Teacher certificate Pass ALL CORI/SORI/Fingerprinting required by EEC. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, and experience working in a preschool or daycare setting.Responsibilities:•Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.•Provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for children.•Supervise and manage classroom assistants and aides.•Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress.•Assess and evaluate children's academic, social, and emotional development.•Provide individualized attention and support to children.•Plan and organize classroom activities, field trips, and special events.•Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to education and childcare.•Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and development.•Continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.Requirements/Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education preferred, or related field. Associates degree (CDA accepted)•State teaching certification or license.•At least 3 years of experience in a preschool classroom setting.•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.•Ability to create and implement lesson plans that align with state standards.•Knowledge of child development and appropriate teaching methods.•Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.•Passionate about working with young children and helping them learn and grow.•Patient and nurturing with excellent classroom management skills.•Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.•Strong organizational and time-management skills.•Ability to recognize and nurture the needs of individual students and differentiate instruction.•Willingness to continue learning and staying up-to-date with the latest research and trends in early childhood education.
