The Children's Collective, Inc. is Hiring a Budget and Contract Analyst Near Los Angeles, CA

Overall Function:

This position works collaboratively with program managers to support organizational programs to ensure sound financial management and compliance with contractual requirements, while handling various responsibilities with discretion, confidentiality and good judgment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with program managers to understand program scopes of work and contract requirements to provide financial guidance and facilitate informed programmatic decision-making.
  • Ensure the company is in compliance with the terms and conditions of contracts, grants, and other funding sources, including adherence to local ordinances, policies, and laws.
  • Develop financial and program reports for managers that help monitor program revenues and expenditures, as well as performance toward contractual goals
  • Assist in the development of budgets and modifications for program contracts, grants, and proposal submissions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of and follow established procurement procedures for each specific program.
  • Helps the programs establish guidelines to maintain files and supporting documentation in accordance with agency, contract, and grant requirements.
  • Assist programs in preparing and staying audit-ready.
  • Acts as secondary contact for management personnel regarding contract and grant information.
  • Help compose periodic reports and summaries for funding agencies.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, ensuring purchases are in compliance with the contract travel reimbursement guidelines.
  • Responsible for making program-related purchases, including credit card transactions, and ensuring reconciliation of the expenditures on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate effectively with other company departments, including finance and administration to foster a culture of teamwork and shared responsibility.
  • Explore and help implement technological solutions that streamline budgeting and reporting processes for enhanced efficiency.

Ability to:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of grant, contract management, procurement processes and regulations.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence
  • Meet tight time constraints and deadlines
  • Analyze situations, identify problems, and recommend solutions
  • Understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, contracts, budgets, and labor/management agreements
  • Interact professionally with various levels of TCCI employees and outside representatives
  • Exercise judgment and creativity in making decisions
  • Think and act independently

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, or 4 years experience performing fiscal analytical accounting work. Experience as outlined above be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Requirements:

1. Current T.B. Test & General Physical

3. Criminal Record Fingerprinting Clearance is required.

4. Valid California Drivers License (if applicable)

5. Have own transportation and a clean DMV record (if applicable)

6. Valid/Current Automobile Insurance (if applicable)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
