DescriptionThe Children's Home is seeking an Events & Development Manager to join the Marketing & Development Team. The Events & Development Manager is an integral and central part of the office, working with all areas of the department. This position carries out responsibilities within the following functional areas: Fundraising including but not limited to: Donor Research, Donor Cultivation and Solicitation efforts; Fundraising, Appeals, Giving Clubs, Event Planning, and Data Analysis. This position serves as the on-site expert in the use and maintenance of the donor database. This position is responsible for managing The Children’s Home & Lemieux Family Center’s fundraising events, including third party events, cultivation events and the annual Shake Your Booties Gala. They are responsible to steward corporate and individual gifts of all levels, including planned and major gifts, and will foster donor relations. The Events & Development Manager reports to the Director of Development and is a member of the External Affairs Department team that also includes a Programs Relation Manager, Grants & Community Relations Manager, and Marketing & Development Associate. This position works collaboratively with members of the organization’s senior management team. This position has regular interaction with donors, volunteers, and members of the organization’s Board of Directors. This Position Is Eligible For The Following Benefits

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Fundraising, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of two (2) years' of donor database management experience required; expertise using Donor Perfect preferred.
Experience with data input/output, maintenance, management and analysis
Experience working for a non-profit organization is required
Genuine interest in the organization’s mission
Excellent organizational skills
Function with a high-level of detail
Strong critical thinking skills, technical leadership, and proficiency
Advanced working knowledge of MS office, strong Excel skills required
Understanding of principles and strategies of philanthropy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to take initiative and to work independently, exercise good judgment, and act diplomatically
Demonstrated ability to work successfully both independently and with a strong team in a collaborative environment
