The Program Director, Associate of Applied Science in Radiology, is a full-time position responsible for managing the Associate Degree of Applied Science in Radiology Program in the Department of Health Sciences. The Program Director reports to the Associate Dean of Health Sciences and is responsible for the management of an environment and resources conducive to the teaching/learning processes following the guidelines established by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology and as delegated by the Associate Dean of Health Sciences. The Program Director participates in the preparation and management of the program’s budget and provides leadership through the development and implementation of the program’s curricula and fulfills duties as Clinical Coordinator, when required. Additionally, the Program Director assists in faculty development, recruitment, promotion and retention; maintains relationships with program specific regulatory and accreditation boards/agencies; and assists the Associate Dean of Health Sciences in providing an adequate number of qualified faculty.
